What Innovate is
Explore what is next.
Innovate provides a structured way to explore emerging ideas, technologies, approaches and opportunities beyond the core progression. Organisations can develop additional sustainability initiatives — from simple practical improvements to ambitious new ideas — and track them through the GMB Platform.
Initiatives created through Innovate can be submitted to the quarterly GMB Innovation Awards. Entries do not need to be large-scale projects — we want to hear about practical changes that have made a genuine difference and could inspire other organisations to take action.
How it works
Three simple steps to submit an initiative.
Innovate initiatives are submitted through the GMB Platform. If you already know the initiative you want to submit, completing your entry should usually take around 5–10 minutes.

Show us the difference it made
Share the impact, results or learning from the initiative.
Submit your entry
Complete your entry through GMB before the quarterly deadline.
